SUMMARY
We began by investigating stormwater flooding in New York City. After speaking with experts and conducting our own primary research, we found that the main issue was a lack of awareness amongst New Yorkers regarding stormwater flooding and resilience. This is significant because there haven’t been any major efforts to promote awareness or education on stormwater flooding in the city.

After speaking with experts and conducting our own primary research, we found that the main issue was a lack of awareness amongst New Yorkers regarding stormwater flooding and resilience. This is significant because there haven’t been any major efforts to promote awareness or education on stormwater flooding in the city. This gap in government efforts is where we found our opportunity for intervention.
Outcome
Ultimately, we decided to create a strategy for an advocacy group focused on spreading awareness around stormwater flooding.
