SUMMARY

1000 Ocean startups face a funding challenge, and we have decided to tackle it with a creative business strategy: a business-focused podcast. We began by interviewing 1000 OS members and scouting for the perfect charismatic hosts. Afterward, we found our guests, two entrepreneurs cultivating ocean innovation through 1000OS member's networks. Together, we then created the first episode of the podcast and an exciting trailer to introduce it to our audience.

challenge 

We recognized that 1000 Ocean Startups has an extensive network of VCs, incubators, and accelerators that the organization has yet to fully utilize. Our strategy is to leverage this network to establish a sustainable revenue stream. This is accomplished by sharing knowledge and insights with a wider audience through fostering meaningful conversations within the coalition, presented in the form of a podcast.

Outcome

The project successfully delivered a video podcast for the first episode, complemented by a short podcast trailer, and a comprehensive strategy for continued implementation. This podcast addresses the client's funding challenge through opening up avenues for sustainable revenue through sponsorships and private investments. Moreover, the podcast will cultivate partnerships within the ocean impact community, serving as a source of inspiration for entrepreneurs while enhancing the credibility and visibility of client’s stakeholders. "Let’s Rock the Boat" podcast holds the promise of transitioning ocean impact investing from a niche concern to a mainstream movement by engaging a wider audience.
