SUMMARY
This project began as a personal exploration and striking curiosity into Buddhism, art, and the self—a journey shaped by serendipity and deep contemplation. Immersing myself in these themes, I uncovered the transformative potential of slowing down and being present. This process culminated in collaborating with an artist studio to design an exhibition that offers a space for radical slowness, inviting visitors to reflect and confront the worries that linger in their minds.
challenge
This project uncovered a powerful opportunity to merge personal exploration with a universal need for self-reflection. It began as a journey to delve into Buddhism, art, and the self, but soon revealed a deeper potential: to create spaces where people can pause, contemplate, and reconnect with their inner selves. By addressing this gap, the project opens the door for moments of meaningful presence in a world that rarely slows down.
Outcome
The project took shape through two intertwined outcomes: Perceiving Exhales, an exhibition that invites visitors to slow down and reflect, and Edges and Echoes, a conceptual platform that bridges Buddhism, art, and the self. Together, they respond to a need for stillness and self-exploration. The exhibition offers a physical space to pause and confront lingering worries, while the platform extends this exploration, encouraging continued contemplation and connection beyond the gallery walls
