Imagine a world where choosing a fragrance is no longer a gamble, but a personalised experience tailored to your unique sensitivities and preferences. The vision behind Aroma IQ began with extensive research into fragrance allergies and market trends, discovered a pressing need for transparency and personalization in the fragrance industry. I developed an innovative solution, an app that breaks down ingredient lists and highlights potential triggers instantly through barcode scanning technology. Aroma IQ empowers users to make informed choices but also fosters a safer fragrance experience for all.
challenge
Through research and market analysis, I learned of the challenge with the lack of transparency in fragrance products, often struggling to understand ingredient lists and identify potential allergens. Many individuals expressed a desire for fragrances tailored to their specific sensitivities and preferences, emphasising the need for more personalised options. Concerns over adverse reactions and allergic responses underscored a broader demand for safer fragrance choices and reliable information on ingredient composition. Recognising these consumer trends, I saw an opportunity to fill a gap in the market by developing a solution that seamlessly integrated technology with fragrance selection.
Outcome
The project culminated in the development of a user-friendly mobile app equipped with barcode scanning technology. This solution directly addresses stakeholder needs by providing consumers with instant access to ingredient breakdowns, empowering them to make informed fragrance choices tailored to their sensitivities and preferences. Aroma IQ meets this growing demand by increasing focus on individual preferences and sensitivities. They can identify potential allergens or irritants in fragrances, and avoid ingredients that may trigger adverse reactions, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience. Also, streamlining the process utilising technology to enhance the user experience.
