SUMMARY
I started Cache to revolutionize the way preloved fashion is supplied. Through research and interviews, I discovered a gap in the market: affluent individuals have abundant unworn designer items sitting in their wardrobes. Cache offers a premium white-glove service, partnering with luxury apartments to optimize wardrobe spaces and provide a seamless reselling experience. By addressing this opportunity, we're not only unlocking a new supply but also promoting circular practices.
challenge
I identified several stakeholder needs and opportunities through market research and interviews. Affluent individuals with unworn luxury items needed a hassle-free solution to declutter their closets. Luxury apartment complexes presented an opportunity to access a large volume of pre-loved fashion items. By addressing these needs and leveraging partnerships, Cache could fill a gap in the market and promote buying preloved items rather than brand-new ones.
Outcome
The project took the shape of Cache, a premium white-glove service specializing in acquiring and reselling pre-loved luxury items. This outcome directly addresses the observed needs of affluent individuals by providing a hassle-free solution to declutter their closets and monetize their unused designer products. By partnering with luxury apartment complexes, Cache can access a larger volume of items, filling a gap in the market for a convenient and upscale resale service. Moreover, Cache's approach contributes to the circular economy by extending the lifecycle of luxury items, promoting sustainability in the fashion industry.
