Krystelle Carrier is a makeup brand focusing on the intersectionality of health and creativity by providing high-quality makeup and innovative design. We embody a health-conscious and dynamic approach to cosmetics, offering ergonomic tools and design that simplify application while encouraging exploration and imaginative expression.
challenge
With current interests and the rise of creative makeup, it’s important to provide good and easy-to-use products and tools for everyone. Now more than ever, users care for the ingredients and consider them when selecting their products. Consumers demand transparency and honesty from brands, especially regarding their ingredients and their uses. Additionally, many individuals deprive themselves of self-expression and creativity through cosmetics due to their skin sensitivities or conditions, while others do not identify as having enough skill or confidence to explore this mode.
Outcome
After a range of testimonies, interviews, concept and prototype testing, I have discovered various ways to address the mentioned challenge. Throughout this process, I have identified manufacturers that could craft the custom formula I seek, while considering the product’s design and overall look. With the collected feedback, I have designed a universally ergonomic grip for my products for comfort and precision. Alongside our products, I am developing an online platform, the Kreative Community, to endorse creativity and bring like-minded individuals together.
