challenge
We used surveys, interviews, storyboarding, and observations, we gathered data from our stakeholders, who are busy students and individuals (anyone else who wants to try it). These methods enabled us to delve deep into their daily routines and preferences. Surveys and interviews provided quantitative and qualitative insights into their needs for authenticity, convenience, affordability, cultural adaptability, and nutrition. Storyboarding helped visualise their daily challenges and ideal solutions, particularly emphasising the need for quick and healthy meal options. Observations allowed us to witness firsthand the limitations and pressures they face, underlining the importance of addressing these needs effectively.
Outcome
Our project culminated in the creation of culturally authentic, nutritious, and convenient Indian meal kits tailored for busy students. The meal kits feature pre-chopped ingredients, simple recipes, and instructional videos, ensuring a seamless cooking experience for beginners. This directly addresses the needs for convenience and ease identified through our stakeholder engagement methods—surveys, interviews, storyboarding, and observations. By pricing these kits to fit student budgets, we bridge the market gap for affordable, authentic culinary experiences, making the flavours of Indian heritage accessible to all.
