Runway Revolution is a pioneering conceptual initiative committed to supporting independent designers within the fashion industry. This idea sprang from my observation of the challenges indie brands face in establishing a market presence compared to fast fashion giants. As the first nonprofit brand-building agency in the sector, the company offers tailored services in marketing, event planning, and business mentorship. Its mission is to foster sustainability, creativity, and inclusivity within the fashion industry while leveling the playing field for emerging brands. Through a unique funding model and community-building efforts, Runway Revolution provides essential resources and opportunities for indie designers to thrive.
challenge
Runway Revolution was born from recognizing a gap in the fashion industry. Independent designers, crucial for fostering creativity and sustainable practices, often lack the resources to compete with established brands. This project targets this gap by providing brand-building tools like marketing and event planning, alongside business mentorship. By empowering these designers, Runway Revolution aims to cultivate a more diverse and sustainable fashion landscape.
Outcome
Runway Revolution took shape as a comprehensive website. This platform directly tackles the gap by offering a one-stop shop for independent designers. They can apply for crucial brand-building services (marketing, events, mentorship) while the site transparently showcases our mission, funding model, and past collaborations with successful brands. Public sections allow for event browsing and donations, fostering community support and propelling the growth of sustainable and creative fashion.
