SUMMARY

Gen Z began their financial literacy journey later than ANY generation. Ziscal emerged from my in-depth analysis of the socio-economic and historical factors that shape Gen Z’s financial perceptions and behaviors. Despite being digital natives, Gen Zers encounter unique financial challenges, primarily due to a lack of tailored financial education that complements their tech-savvy nature and dynamic lifestyle. Ziscal revolutionizes financial literacy for Gen Z by merging AI with personal finance best practices. Starting with a vision to demystify finance for young adults, I envisioned an AI-driven platform that translates complex financial concepts into understandable insights.

challenge

An interviewee poignantly described financial planning as 'the Elite’s game.' My research uncovered two prevalent challenges faced by Gen Z: the anxiety from trying to understand complex financial concepts, and the overwhelming nature of traditional financial resources. Despite an abundance of information, its complexity and volume often deter young people from engaging with financial content, exposing a critical gap—Gen Z's need for intuitive and relatable financial guidance. During my prototype development, I enrolled in Harvard Business School’s Fintech course, to deepen my understanding of how AI can be integrated with the Fintech industry, with a specific focus on navigating regulations and ethical considerations.

Outcome

Ziscal transforms how Gen Z accesses financial education by making essential financial concepts readily accessible without the need for extensive searches. Leveraging advanced AI and natural language processing, our platform processes user inputs to distill and present financial best practices in a digestible format. Beyond being just a tool, Ziscal acts as a dynamic financial companion that educates young adults in their own language. As we continue to evolve, Ziscal is actively seeking partners with expertise in AI development and investors who share our passion for empowering the next generation with essential financial skills. Join us in making financial literacy a standard, not a luxury, for every young adult.
