SUMMARY
As a Parsons student surrounded by talented emerging designers, I see how difficult it is for them to showcase their work. Traditional fashion events are exclusive and expensive, leaving many without a platform. My hybrid fashion event platform bridges this gap, combining AR technology with exclusive venues to create immersive, accessible experiences. It provides a global stage for designers and networking opportunities for in-person attendees. This project has taught me to merge creative concepts with execution, showing how technology can transform event accessibility and inclusivity.
challenge
One challenge was balancing physical and virtual factors so that people dont feel like they are detached from the real experience. It was also a challenge to determine how to realistically display the works in a way that makes sense for the people attending.
Outcome
This directly addresses the needs of underrepresented designers seeking a platform to display their work and connect with global audiences. It also fills a market gap by leveraging technology to reduce costs and create networking opportunities for industry professionals and attendees who are looking to make their way into the industry, as well as a fun and collective experience that inspires artists and designers in NYC.
