SUMMARY
The Next Gen Property Lab tackles student frustrations in navigating the real estate market by creating accessible education programs and engaging workshops through seminar events. Through my research I have discovered a significant gap that young adults face in the financial literacy and knowledge about property acquisition. Ultimately, this project aims to provide students with the confidence and resources to navigate property ownership through innovative seminars, interactive tools, and co-created learning experiences.
challenge
Students face barriers including high housing costs, limited financial literacy, and a lack of resources tailored to their unique needs. Through surveys, interviews, and workshops, I identified gaps in financial education and guidance on property ownership for young adults. Therefore, these gaps hinder students' ability to make informed decisions about real estate and long-term financial planning.
Outcome
The project culminated in a seminar prototype featuring expert-led workshops, a modified Monopoly board game, and interactive activities that teach students real estate concepts. Ultimately, these tools address financial literacy gaps by engaging students in a practical and accessible format by empowering them with the knowledge needed to approach the housing market with confidence.
