SUMMARY
Olympic Citizen is a platform that transforms the extraordinary spirit of the Olympic Games—unity, equality, and friendship—into everyday connections. Inspired by my personal experiences with the Olympics, the project bridges cultures, creating a digital space where these values thrive year-round. By addressing gaps in connection, it aims to inspire a global community grounded in shared ideals.
challenge
I identified the need for sustained cultural connection and unity, which people often experience only during global events like the Olympics. Interviews and surveys revealed a gap in tools that foster these values in daily life. Stakeholders emphasized the desire for meaningful, inclusive engagement beyond fleeting moments.
Outcome
The project resulted in a prototype for a mobile app and platform, Olympic Citizen, that facilitates cross-cultural interactions, promotes shared experiences, and celebrates Olympic values. This directly addresses the identified need for a consistent, accessible way to keep the Olympic spirit alive all year.
