SUMMARY
To reimagine The Jewelry Library’s next chapter, we designed a tiered membership model that deepens audience engagement both digitally and IRL. Grounded in user research, the model integrates workshops, storytelling, and artist access to serve jewelry enthusiasts more inclusively and sustainably.
challenge
TJL lost its physical space in 2024 and needed new ways to engage its growing, national audience. Through surveys and stakeholder interviews, we identified gaps in access, community-building, and monetization—especially among emerging and remote jewelry lovers.
Outcome
We created a three-tier membership ecosystem—The Index, Stacks, and Archive—that offers flexible pricing, digital and in-person programming, and community touchpoints. This structure meets audience desires for meaningful connection while creating a path to long-term sustainability.
