Parallel Skin is a unisex beauty concept that bridges the gap between men’s skincare and makeup use by addressing stigma and lack of knowledge through functionality, branding, and education. Parallel empowers subtle, confidence-boosting enhancement for everyone.
challenge
Data collected through a survey revealed men feel their skin impacts their confidence, and they want solutions, but avoid makeup due to social stigma and lack of knowledge. It also showed high skincare use but low makeup use, with participants citing fear of judgment and not knowing where to start. These gaps reveal an opportunity for skincare-backed cosmetics marketed to an audience that includes men. Looking good makes you feel good, and when you feel good you show up as the best version of yourself. Parallel's goal is to provide the ability to enhance your confidence to everyone.
Outcome
My project resulted a unisex beauty concept focused on inclusive marketing and functional products. This outcome directly addresses stakeholder needs by offering approachable tools for enhancing your confidence to battle social stigma. It fills a market gap of men who want solutions but lack guidance, creating a space where skincare and makeup work together to support everyone.
