SUMMARY
Framework responds to a growing gap between artists seeking visibility and businesses seeking authentic, culturally grounded art. Emerging artists struggle with fair compensation, scalable income, and accessible distribution channels; meanwhile, hotels and hospitality groups want fresh, meaningful art but face high procurement friction and limited transparency. Framework identifies an opportunity to treat art not as décor but as cultural infrastructure—making it easier, faster, and more impactful for both sides to connect.
challenge
Through interviews and research, I identified two major gaps: economic (artists lack recurring revenue and accessible clients; businesses face high curation and acquisition costs) and experiential (the art world feels intimidating to new collectors, while hospitality spaces crave more authentic, local culture). Artists want visibility and fair pay; hospitality teams want frictionless, transparent sourcing. These insights revealed an opportunity for a platform that simplifies procurement while amplifying artistic storytelling.
Outcome
The project became a curated marketplace that connects emerging artists with hospitality spaces through AI matching, standardized commissioning, and streamlined logistics. It includes rotation programs, rentals, impact dashboards, and storytelling tools that make art accessible and measurable. This directly addresses stakeholder needs by giving artists recurring exposure and income, while giving businesses a simple, transparent, culturally rich way to integrate art into their environments—turning everyday spaces into sites of discovery.
