SUMMARY
Grandstand to Grid explores how Formula 1’s rise in female viewership reflects a cultural shift driven by storytelling, media, and lifestyle appeal—yet industry access for women remains limited. Through research, interviews, and stakeholder analysis, the project identifies gaps between enthusiasm and opportunity. She Drives Change proposes a multi-phase action plan—education, mentorship, and visibility initiatives—to transform female fans into future professionals and build a more inclusive F1 ecosystem.
challenge
Formula 1’s rapid cultural growth brings new momentum, yet women still face barriers moving from fandom to participation. High costs and exclusivity limit access, while media visibility often reinforces aesthetic roles instead of showcasing real career paths. The line between sport and entertainment creates tension among fans, but it also opens opportunities: rewriting narratives, expanding industry access, and building structured pathways that transform female enthusiasm into long-term involvement.
Outcome
All insights reveal one key truth: female enthusiasm for F1 is abundant, but what is missing is infrastructure. Women are ready to move from spectatorship to contribution, but the pathways are fragmented and unclear. This is precisely where the action plan intervenes, offering structured, sustainable, initiative driven systems to transform engagement into opportunity.
