SUMMARY

Harès began with a simple question: why don’t our clothes last the way our most meaningful objects do? This project studies how style collapses under trends, how fit shapes confidence, and why people struggle to build a signature that reads clearly in real life. I designed a wearer-first maison built on permanence, fit, and materials with soul. Through research, prototyping, and real garments, I found that people want clarity, comfort, and pieces that stay with them and Harès is built for that.

challenge

I found that people feel overwhelmed by trends, unsure about fit, and frustrated that clothes rarely match how they want to be read in real life. They want clarity, comfort, and pieces that last. Most brands design for the cycle, not the wearer, leaving a gap in guidance, fit literacy, and long-term care. The opportunity is a maison that simplifies decision-making, teaches fit through experience, and builds pieces that become reliable constants instead of disposable trends.

Outcome

The project became a full wearer-first system: a clear brand vision, a material philosophy, two core jackets, and a retail-atelier prototype built around fit, guidance, and longevity. It shifts the focus from selling trends to supporting the individual. By refining silhouettes, offering fit alignment, and creating a space that teaches clarity instead of noise, the outcome directly answers what people lacked: confidence, ease, and pieces they can return to for years.
