SUMMARY
Her Circle is a digital platform for women navigating divorce in Spain. I began with my mother’s experience of feeling lost in legal procedures and emotionally alone, and my long‑standing interest in the Spanish legal system, where divorce often feels skewed to benefit men. I interviewed 15 women to understand their needs and found that cognitive overload from fragmented tools is more overwhelming than legal complexity itself. Her Circle is my passion project: an integrated, privacy‑first space where women can navigate the system, find community, and feel supported in a vulnerable time.
challenge
Key stakeholders are women divorcing in Spain, plus the legal and mental‑health ecosystems around them. Through 15 interviews, media analysis, and competitive review, I found three gaps: support is fragmented across many tools, emotional and community support are much harder to access than legal help, and stigma plus lack of anonymity keep women from sharing openly. These gaps create cognitive overload and isolation at the exact moment when women most need clear guidance, integrated resources, and safe, private connection.
Outcome
Her Circle ultimately became a privacy‑first, three‑pillar platform—legal guidance, emotional support, and community—designed for women divorcing in Spain. A simple onboarding flow personalizes what each woman sees while anonymous forums let them connect safely with others in similar situations. Also, integrated access to vetted Spanish legal and mental‑health support replaces scattered tools in one trusted space, directly addressing gaps in fragmentation, isolation, and lack of Spain‑specific, women‑centered resources.
