SUMMARY
I designed a platform that helps underground artists grow without losing their identity. It has three parts: Intermission for small, ongoing highlights, a magazine for deeper editorial stories, and a label for musicians. Through research, I discovered artists want visibility that still feels personal and real. This matters because it offers creative support and stability where it rarely exists.
challenge
I identified that underground artists lack consistent visibility, financial stability, and platforms that respect their identity. They often feel pressured to fit commercial styles or fast content cycles. Through studying existing platforms and talking with artists I admire, I saw a gap for a slower, more supportive system. The opportunity was to create a space that offers growth, structure, and real opportunities without compromising authenticity.
Outcome
The final project is a three-layer platform that supports artists at different stages of their practice. Intermission offers consistent visibility, the magazine provides polished editorial features, and the label supports musicians long-term. This directly answers the need for stability, identity-safe visibility, and structured opportunities in a market that rarely supports underground artists.
