SUMMARY
began by exploring why international activewear dominates Mexico and why local brands struggle to gain visibility. Through research, interviews, and material experimentation, I developed PULSO—a modern activewear concept that elevates Mexican identity through design, sustainability, and local resources. I discovered a powerful gap: people want products that reflect their culture, not just global trends. This project matters because it reframes “Made in Mexico” as innovative, desirable, and worth celebrating.
challenge
Mexico holds immense talent, resources, craftsmanship, innovation, and cultural richness, qualities that have already been recognized internationally in ready-to-wear, accessories, and the broader fashion industry. However, a clear gap remains within the movement and activewear space. At the same time, international brands are worn with pride in Mexico, having become symbols of status and affordability.
Outcome
PULSO seeks to fill this gap by creating high-performance movement wear that is made in Mexico, celebrates local identity, and rebuilds pride around products created by and for Mexicans.
