SUMMARY

I began my research on enhancing art accessibility, delving into museum demographics, communication channels, and strategies. I narrowed my focus to ADHD inclusivity in museums, aiming for tailored experiences. A QR-accessible checklist and survey kiosk signify our commitment to inclusivity and transparency, fostering a more welcoming museum environment.

challenge

By examining museum demographics and communication channels, I recognized a gap in tailored experiences for individuals with ADHD. This led to an opportunity to enhance inclusivity through targeted programs and facilities. Additionally, the lack of systematic accessibility assessments highlighted a need for a practical tool like the QR-accessible checklist, providing museums with a means to evaluate and improve their efforts. The dedicated survey kiosk addresses the need for ongoing feedback and transparency, fostering a collaborative approach to accessibility. Overall, these initiatives aim to bridge gaps in accessibility, promote inclusivity, and enhance the museum experience for all visitors.

Outcome

The project ultimately took shape as a comprehensive accessibility initiative within museums, focusing specifically on enhancing inclusivity for individuals with ADHD. The outcome includes the development of a QR-accessible checklist for museums to assess and improve their accessibility efforts, along with the implementation of a dedicated survey kiosk for visitor feedback. These solutions directly address the observed needs of stakeholders by providing practical tools for museums to evaluate and enhance their accessibility, fostering a more inclusive and welcoming environment for individuals with ADHD and other diverse needs.
