SUMMARY
Tiny Hands, Big Hearts: Family Arts & Crafts Day is a LALO family event designed to inspire creativity and foster meaningful family connections. Starting with a vision to unite families through art, we curated an event featuring engaging arts and crafts activities, delicious snacks, lively music, and an opportunity to collaborate on a fine art piece. The experience revealed the power of creative expression in building stronger bonds and creating cherished memories. This project highlights the importance of fostering joy and connection through shared artistic moments.
challenge
The stakeholders' needs we identified were primarily through the parents, children, and marketing team. The marketing team's needs were revealed to be the need to bring attention to their new release of products in Target and a method to creatively promote this. The opportunities for parents and children are to always seek engaging ways to bring the family together. The gap is that parents are overwhelmed by being in stores like Target while watching over their child.
Outcome
The project ultimately took the form of a research process and prototype that was tested. It became a planned event for parents and their children to participate in artful crafts of hand-printing t-shirts. The outcome directly addresses our stakeholders' needs by fulfilling a bonding moment for families and the desired engagement from participants to rile excitement for LALO’s launch in Target. The gap involves LALO needing parents to buy products from Target. Through this event, we observed that we can associate togetherness with their brand.
