SUMMARY

Our project merges interactive storybooks, collectible toy cars, and layered paper art, engaging adults and children in a shared experience. These captivating stories and hands-on interactions with toy cars are complemented by the visually stunning layered paper art, doubling as unique home decor. This product bundle taps into the adult market's nostalgia while promoting inter-generational bonding. Our hypothesis: integrating nostalgia, interactive features, and shared adventure through art will appeal to a diverse audience, driving increased sales for CandyLab Toys.

challenge

Our initial challenges centered around finding ideas that stayed true to CandyLab Toy's values while also appealing to our target market. We explored a digital game concept and a collaboration with Uber, but faced difficulties as CandyLab Toy preferred to avoid digital components, and the Uber partnership did not offer sufficient financial benefits. Acknowledging these challenges, we refocused on CandyLab Toy's core strengths, ultimately developing a product bundle that combines interactive storybooks, collectible toy cars, and layered paper art. This pivot required rethinking our approach and overcoming obstacles in design and presentation to create an innovative solution that resonates with both the brand and its audience.

Outcome

We concluded that a product bundle, combining interactive storybooks with collectible toy cars and layered paper art, effectively captures the essence of nostalgia while promoting engagement across generations. This concept honors CandyLab Toy's core values and expands their target audience by creating a shared experience for adults and children. The layered paper art serves as a versatile addition, functioning as both a storytelling element and a unique home decor piece. The project outcome is a cohesive, innovative product offering that bridges the gap between past and present, appealing to collectors, nostalgia enthusiasts, and families seeking meaningful bonding experiences.
