SUMMARY

We planned a ZariZar-hosted multi-sensory event to showcase its products and celebrate its artisans. The event features five immersive rooms that stimulate all senses, including taste and touch. We planned to partner with Local NYC businesses like Kolkata Chai, Downtown Yarns, Nourish and Refine essential oils, and traditional Sitar players to provide beverages, products, materials, and music for guests to immersive themselves in. Each scarf on display has a QR code, allowing customers to learn about the weaver who created it. A gift shop offers ZariZar products, including an exclusive collection made just for the event.

challenge

During the ideation process, we faced challenges in creating an event that would be memorable and generate sales. We initially planned to use Augmented Reality (AR) to showcase ZariZar's story and hold showrooms for their collections. However, we realized that post-COVID, consumers prefer in-person events and experiences. To make it more immersive, we created an event that centers around the 5 senses and partnered with other small businesses to bring in their consumer base. We recognized ZariZar artisans with QR code activations and designed the website for effective marketing and sales activation. We created a 3D model for strong visuals that allowed users to move and interact with it.

Outcome

In a world where consumers are bombarded with digital brand experiences, we aimed to create a personal and interactive event for our guests. Through partnerships with local businesses, we merged physical and digital experiences to create a unique event that elevated the traditional "trunk show" marketing strategy. We learned the importance of customer engagement and creating unique event experiences to differentiate ourselves in an oversaturated market. This process gave us insights into the future of customer experiences and brand events, showing the potential for future partnerships to create unique and inviting brand experiences that engage customers in a more personal way.
